This seminar will present Sergio Márquez’s work on the development of a patient-specific digital twin for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The approach combines a stochastic model of leukemic population dynamics with multiple layers of patient information, including clinical, transcriptomic, proteomic, and mechanomic features. The model represents the coexistence and evolution of different leukemic subpopulations with distinct sensitivities to individual drugs, allowing treatment response and the emergence of drug resistance to be studied over time. Preliminary simulations show heterogeneous treatment trajectories, ranging from effective leukemia control to the persistence and expansion of resistant populations.
