Maxim Kuznetsov awarded a Ramón y Cajal fellowship and joins MOLAB
MOLAB
The MOLAB research group is pleased to announce that Dr. Maxim Kuznetsov has been awarded a highly competitive Ramón y Cajal 2024 fellowship and has joined MOLAB at the University of Castilla-La Mancha as a Ramón y Cajal researcher.
The five-year fellowship will support Dr. Kuznetsov in developing mathematical and computational approaches for the optimization of personalized cancer treatments. His research will focus particularly on radiopharmaceutical therapies and external beam radiotherapy, combining mechanistic mathematical models, numerical optimization, and experimental and clinical data to identify effective treatment strategies under biological and toxicity constraints.
At MOLAB, Dr. Kuznetsov will develop an independent research line in close collaboration with mathematicians, experimental scientists, clinicians, and international partners. His appointment strengthens MOLAB’s expertise at the interface of applied mathematics, cancer biology, and precision medicine, and will contribute to translating mathematical results into experimentally testable and clinically relevant predictions.
