The purpose of this talk is to provide an introduction to those who want to learn more about geometric evolution problems for hypersurfaces and especially those related to curvature flow. These diffusion problems lead to interesting systems of nonlinear partial differential equations and provide the appropriate mathematical modeling of a multitude of physical processes.
