MOLAB is pleased to announce the Net4Brain Training School on Mathematical Oncology, an international PhD-level course that will take place 15–18 September 2026 at the historic Palacio de los Condes de Valdeparaíso in Almagro (Spain). Organized within the framework of the Net4Brain COST Action, the school will bring together young researchers from across Europe to explore how mathematical modelling and computational methods are transforming brain cancer research. The four-day programme is specifically designed for PhD students and early-career researchers with interests in mathematical biology, computational oncology, biomedical engineering, computer science, physics, and related disciplines. Participants will receive advanced training in the mathematical and computational biology of brain tumours, covering topics such as mechanistic modelling, model calibration, uncertainty quantification, quantitative data analysis, and reproducible computational workflows. Particular emphasis will be placed on the translation of mathematical models into clinically relevant tools for precision neuro-oncology. (Net4Brain)

The school combines technical morning lectures delivered by leading international experts with supervised afternoon mini-projects, allowing participants to work in small multidisciplinary teams on realistic modelling and data-analysis challenges. The programme concludes with student presentations, providing an opportunity to discuss results and exchange ideas with fellow trainees and instructors. The Training School reflects the mission of the Net4Brain COST Action to strengthen European collaboration in brain cancer research through interdisciplinary training and networking.
