We are pleased to announce that the MAMMOTH research proposal, led by Jesús J. Bosque at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, has been awarded funding. MAMMOTH will develop mathematical models of tumour growth and treatment response by analysing metabolic and vascular imaging patterns. The project combines macroecology, topological data analysis, mathematical morphology and ecological modelling to identify new prognostic biomarkers and improve the simulation of radiotherapy and immunotherapy responses. By integrating data from multiple cancer types, the research aims to advance understanding of tumour organisation and support more personalised, evidence-based therapeutic strategies.
