Automation and mathematical modeling of leukemic clone in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and its treatment
The defence of Ana Niño López’s doctoral thesis will take place on November 21th. The thesis, entitled “Automation and mathematical modeling of leukemic clone in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and its treatment”, has been directed by María Rosa and Salvador Chulián.
This work combines data analysis and mathematical modeling to study cellular populations in leukemia. Using flow cytometry data from patients with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, algorithms were developed to automate the identification of cell populations and detect relevant differences between patients. In parallel, mathematical models describe tumor growth and treatment response, providing new insights into disease dynamics and therapy optimization.
