“The defence of José García Otero's thesis will take place on Wednesday 18 June 2025 at 11:30. The thesis, entitled ‘Dynamic modelling and control strategies for the treatment of neuroblastoma with Celyvir: a mathematical perspective’, has been directed by Juan Gabriel Belmonte Beitia.

This thesis develops mathematical models to optimise the treatment of childhood neuroblastoma by oncolytic virotherapy with Celyvir. Systems of differential equations and cellular automata have been used to analyse the interaction between the tumour, the oncolytic virus, and the immune system, with the aim of better understanding the evolution of the disease and improving treatment efficacy.”
