MOLAB reinforces its knowledge transfer capabilities

In parallel with its research and educational activities, MOLAB is actively strengthening its knowledge transfer and innovation ecosystem by fostering collaborations with industry, healthcare providers, technology developers, and public institutions. This strategy has been reinforced by the recent recognition of MOLAB by the University of Castilla-La Mancha as an official Knowledge Transfer Unit, acknowledging the laboratory’s capacity to translate scientific advances into societal and economic impact. This status provides an institutional framework to expand collaborative research, technology development, and innovation activities with non-academic stakeholders. It also positions MOLAB to capitalize on dedicated competitive funding opportunities supporting knowledge transfer, such as the recent Planes para la Generación de Transferencia y Proyectos de Transferencia Colaborativa, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF/FEDER). Through these initiatives, MOLAB aims to accelerate the translation of mechanistic mathematical models, digital twin technologies, and AI-driven decision-support tools into clinically and commercially relevant solutions, thereby strengthening the bridge between fundamental research and real-world healthcare applications.
