The MOLAB research group is happy to announce that Dr. Matteo Italia has been awarded the highly competitive Juan de la Cierva 2025 postdoctoral fellowship to conduct his research in MOLAB under the supervision of Prof. Juan Belmonte-Beitia. 

 

This fellowship will enable Dr. Italia to develop cutting-edge biomedical models, focusing specifically on virtual patients and digital twins to optimize personalized medicine, advanced modeling for aggressive cancers, specifically glioblastoma and prostate cancer, and computational simulation of next-generation therapies, including CAR-T cell therapy and radiopharmaceuticals. The research will bridge the gap between mathematics and medicine. Projects will be carried out at MOLAB in close collaboration with clinical partners and hospitals, which will provide essential medical expertise and real-world patient data to calibrate and validate the computational models.
