On Saturday, April 11, the CODINCAM (Colegio Oficial de Dietistas y Nutricionistas de Castilla-La Mancha) held its general meeting at the Casa Museo Elisa Cendrero in Ciudad Real. For this event, Gabriel F. Calvo was invited to give a talk on cancer and metabolism from a mathematical perspective. During the talk, he had the opportunity to showcase some of MOLAB’s most relevant works, ranging from the discovery of scaling laws for aggressive tumor growth to the identification of biomarkers related to tumor metabolism. At the end, Juan Jiménez Sánchez spoke about the most recent advances in the mathematical analysis of dietary interventions and tumor growth control. Representing MOLAB, Andrés Méndiz Fernández also attended the event, as he is currently working on his thesis on precisely this latter topic.
