Professor Philippe Schucht leads the Neurosurgical Oncology Team at the University Hospital of Bern, the interdisciplinary Tumor Board and is a coordinator of the University Cancer Center UCI. He has worked in South Africa, France and San Francisco (USA). He specialises in Surgery for intrinsic brain tumors such as low grade glioma (astrocytoma, oligodendroglioma) and glioblastoma. He has won several grants for his research on brain tumors and published many papers in leading international journals. He is a founder and member of numerous neurosurgical organisations and is deeply involved in humanitarian activities through the Swiss Neurosurgeons International, especially in Myanmar. |
