On Thursday, July 25, the awards session of the ECMTB 2024 congress was held. The work of James Holehouse, from the Santa Fe Institute (USA), who was awarded the prize for the best doctoral thesis and who gave a lecture, was recognized. Awards were also given to the best posters presented during the congress, funded by the ESMTB and selected by a committee of highly prestigious scientists appointed by the ESMTB. Ten posters were selected and presented during the awards session. One of the awardees was  MOLAB's PhD student José García Otero for his work on optimal treatments for neuroblastoma using mathematical models.
