In this talk, I will introduce the Fragmentation with Immigration and Exit process (FRIME process), a Markov model to simulate the dynamics of cell-free DNA fragments. By comparing its equilibrium measure with clinical data, we uncover many biological insights of cell-free DNA fragmentation process.
