María Rosa Durán, our colleague from the University of Cádiz, participated last October 8, in the I Meeting of Science 'New Paths against Cancer', organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer in the Museums of the Atalaya de Jerez de la Frontera.

 In this day, the “new ways against cancer” were discussed in depth with a group of top researchers working in various laboratories in Spain and the United States, with the aim of publicizing their research on cancer.

 The meeting was divided into two sessions. The morning session was of an informative nature and was attended by other researchers, university professors and students, health personnel, patients, volunteers, family members and general audience. The afternoon session was aimed at students in the 4th year of ESO and 1st year of Bachillerato, with the aim of raising awareness of the different stages of a scientific career and promoting new vocations among young people.
