Opportunities for Master and PhD students at MOLAB

1.- Master students (Fisymat excellence MsC programme). Students enrolled in the Master "Fisymat" at UCLM during the academic year 2021/2022 can opt in for one of the MOLAB scholarships to develop the master thesis and research within the group. The fellowship consists of an stipend of 600 €/month for 8 months. 

2.- PhD students  (Fisymat PhD programme). Students willing to join the PhD fisymat programme in academic year 2021/2022 and performing research at MOLAB have access to a broad variety of grants and contracts. As of August 1, 2021 there are three open opportunities.

2.1.- 2-year research contract starting autuum 2021 to develop a study/PhD on "Topological data analysis methods to predict response to inmmunotherapies in lymphomas". Contract is funded by a project held jointly with the Spanish Hematopoietic Transplant & Cellular therapies group (GTH) and funded by NOVARTIS (requires EU nationality or work permission).

2.2.- UCLM PhD scholarships. Call will open in September 2021. Candidates should have a master and marks >8/10. Four year contracts include three years at predoctoral level plus one year at postdoctoral level (requires EU nationality or work permission). 

2.3.- MOLAB PhD scholarships. For students of any nationality enrolling in the PhD programme in the 2021/2022, excellent academic background and collaborating in any of the group projects. The fellowship consists of an stipend of 800 €/month.

Potential research topics for PhD students include: optimal treatment schedules for brain tumors (in collaboration with the TOG network), advanced cellular immunotherapies in paediatric brain tumors (in collaboration with Hospital Niño Jesús and Hospital La Paz), improving CAR-T treatments of lymphomas (in collaboration with the GETH), immunology, understanding and improving treatments in fibrous dysplasia (in collaboration with University of Cordoba and the NIH), biomarkers of relapse in  leukaemias, etc.
